For those of you who do not know, I am translating (at least portions) of the Shade 10 manual. Recently we've been getting more and more people asking about tutorials for Shade. Id like to ask you what sort of tutorials you'd like to see - what concepts or techniques have been on your wish list?
I think to be able to answere your question, I'd like to see some examples of modelling done in Shade. Then we/I could say "How did you do that?". Untill that happens, please keep up the good work of translating the Manual.
just curious, are you aware of Shader´s Cafe where Shade users have postet in the past lot´s of nice works done in Shade, in the Gallery and WIP section?
If not, you should visit Shader´s Cafe and ask your modeling questions there too.
P.S. The Shade 7 Designer LE Book is also a nice start.

Hi CHIKAKO
one point I want mention is about screen copy on originals user's manuel a few are unreadable becaus too much little (by example signs used in boolean operation)
concerning tutos it is always interresting to know différent manners to use SHADE in the making of a 3D object.
as human face by example,.. texturing of complex objects ...
it could be perhaps interesting to present a competition asking fabrication of one objectand every people present his tuto for the same object with at the end publication of the best...

I've translated manuals and tutorials written japanese into korean.
So, some people ask me how to make human face or car modeling with Shade.
People want to accomplish good shade modeling, but can't find a way.
Frankly, I'd like to ask you to make a Shade manual, such as 'Shade 7 Designer LE'
^_^
The Shade 9 manual is online but in wiki form. The Shade 10 manual should be complete soon. The tricky part about the manual is that we cannot do a direct translation because the manuals got 'out of sync" with each other after Shade 8. Finishing up the Shade 9 manuals were snap, but Shade 10 has many interface changes as well as quite a few new features and enhancements. Literally we are rewriting many parts of the manual.
Once the Shade 10 manual is solid enough, its going to get the cafe press treatment so its possible to order a print copy. We did that with the Revolution manual and that works out well.
just thought about if the Shade 10.5 mini tutorials from Shade Master Ikeda at the e frontier site could be translated into english, so that Shade "oldtimers" could also learn something new, especially since these tutorials are new ones.
