Cannot run Shade 8.5 (free from 3D Artist Magazine #3) on Mac OSX

I am running Mac OS 10.4 on a G4 mac running 1.25GHz and 2GB RAM (which is more than enough for the listed system Mac requirements for Shade 8.5). I just installed the free version of Shade 8.5 from 3D Artist magazine (#3) but for some reason the app won't even launch. I realize that Mirye just acquired this product from Smith Micro (previously owned by e-frontier and before that by Curious Labs) and don't support it, but Has anybody experienced the same problem with the free version?

When I go into terminal I get the following message (apparently this version is incompatible with my particular processor? What???):

We think we have this one sorted. I think Paul already has the alternate download. There should be something posted soon about this. If you have this problem, email me directly and Ill get you a link.

I am also having this issue - Power mac G4 MDD 1.25 GHz Dual Processor, OS X 10.4.11. I have also installed this on a PowerBook G4 running OS X 10.3.9, and the result is the same. It just refuses to launch.

Im sorry, I still don't have a solid answer about this problem. We've duplicated this problem on a PPC running 10.4.
